| 24.02.2003 Maurice and Gill (Surrey, UK) Hotel was excellent having recently been refurbished. The room and bathroom were very clean and neat. The staff were polite nad helpful. The lounge bar very comfortable with a good view over the thin end of the beautiful Vondelpark.
The breakfast room was good and the breakfast excellent. The staff constantly topping up everything so one never had to wait for anything - except the toaster was slow.
Very near to the Concertgebouw, Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh. Only a short walk from everything a visitor would want to do. I recommend this hotel highly for a short or long stay. |

| 13.01.2003 Ang (North England) Hotel was pleasent from staff, rooms and breakfast no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Quiet area and nice surroundings near to main museaums and nightlife. |
| |
| 10.01.2003 Ita (Ireland) - very pleasant foyer and bar area, when I wasn't happy with my first room the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful in finding me an alternative. The second room was nice, but I wasn't totally comfortable with the fact that the wall behind the bed was marked from peoples heads - there was no head board. However, they explained that I was in the new part of the hotel and that the headboards were on order - which I believe was genuine.
Beds were v. comfortable and breakfast was excellent. |

| 10.01.2003 Catherine Wheate (Birmingham - United Kingdon) We were very impressed with this friendly warm hotel. The rooms were modern, cosy and offered us everything we required. Lovely breakfast room and nice selection of breakfast food. The location is slighty out of the way but for the standard of rooms and service this doesnt really matter - enjoy!! |

| 03.01.2003 Kev (Bo'ness, Scotland) Stay 2 nights over New Year & was well impressed with this hotel which was very clean & pleasant & very central for all activities that might take your fancy!! Breakfast was brilliant & so are the breakfast times which are between 7.30am - 11am which is not bad if you've had a heavy previous night! |

| 26.11.2002 robert (california) room was about the size of a closet, not even room for a chair. walls were dirty and needed painted. carpet was dirty. no way to control the heat and roasted most of the night because the window opened directly to a roof and i didn't feel comfortable leaving it open. feels like i paid about twice what the room was worth. |
| |
| 05.11.2002 Roberto y Maria (Switzerland and Colombia) Extremely friendly stuff, great breakfast. Room a bit small, but that's the way it is in A'dam. Wanted to extend our stay, but hotel was full - so stuff really went out of their way and found another possibility - thank you! |
| |
| 22.10.2002 Linda (Switzerland) Absolutely delighted with the hotel |
| |
| 22.10.2002 Linda Ford (Geneva, Switzerland) Lovely room, comfy bed (important), great breakfast. The bar was a great place to sit and chat have a drink after a hard day's slog around the museums and canals. Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh just around the corner. But above all the staff are the friendliest most helpful you'll find............bar none!
Definitely go back if I'm in amsterdam again.

| 01.10.2002 Christina (Norman, Oklahoma USA) Well, I had reservations for a single bed at the Annex of the Piet Hein Hotel, but ended up changing it to stay at the actual Hotel. It was just a little too small for me (I'm sure it's better for a double). I just went to the lobby and was like, "Please can I get a room here?" They were very cool about getting me a new room, and it really wasn't that much more money at all. I just fell in love with the hotel and wanted to stay in there. And my room was gorgeous! My friends stayed at a place close to there that cost about the same but was not nearly as nice. I had a balcony and even a bathtub...Gorgeous. And the staff was so wonderfully sweet to me; I ended up staying there 3 extra nights because I just didn't want to ever leave that place! I would most definitely stay there again! Oh, and the breakfast was wonderful! EVen if you stay at the annex, you get the same breakfast and very friendly staff. Have fun in Amsterdam!!
